Privacy Policy

Fledgerly is a personal finance tracker operated by Oddology LLC(“we”). This policy describes what the app actually does. If the app changes, this changes with it.

Fledgerly is not a financial advisor, a bank, or a money transmitter. It never moves money, and it never has permission to.

What we collect

• Your Google account identity.Sign-in is Google only. We receive your email, name, and profile image. We never see or store a password, because there isn’t one.
• Your bank data, if you connect a bank. Through SimpleFIN Bridge, a third-party aggregator you pay directly. This is read-only access: account names, balances, and transactions. Fledgerly cannot move money, and neither can anyone who compromises Fledgerly.
• Statements and payslips, if you upload them. We parse them to extract your transactions and pay figures. The original file is deleted from our servers as soon as it has been parsed. We keep the extracted data and a hash of the file so a re-upload does not duplicate anything.
• What we deliberately do not store: your full bank account numbers (last four only), your Social Security number, or your bank login credentials (we never see them; SimpleFIN handles that).

No tracking. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no cookies beyond the one that keeps you signed in.

Who we share it with

Two processors, and only what each one needs:

• SimpleFIN Bridge, if you connect a bank. You hold that relationship and pay them directly. We store the read-only access token they issue us, encrypted.
• Anthropic (Claude), only when you upload a statement or payslip in a layout we have never seen, and only after you explicitly approve it. Once a layout is learned, that bank’s future statements are parsed locally and never leave our server.

We do not sell data. We do not share it with advertisers. There is nobody else.

How it is protected

Your data lives on servers we control, not on a shared cloud. Your bank access token and any parsed document contents are encrypted at rest, with a key that is not stored in the database. Backups are encrypted before they leave the primary server. Every query is scoped to your own account.

We are a small operation and will not pretend to be a SOC-2 audited bank. Fledgerly is a carefully built tool run by a professional developer. Please decide accordingly.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded originals: deleted right after parsing. Abandoned uploads: purged after 30 days.
• Your financial data: until you delete it. It is yours.
• Backups: encrypted snapshots that rotate out within hours.
• Security audit records (logins, exports, deletions): kept, and they contain no financial data.

Your rights

Export your data any time from the app, as CSV or JSON. Delete your account any time from Settings. Deletion removes your accounts, transactions, statements, payslips, bank connection, uploaded files, and your login itself. It is immediate and irreversible. Encrypted backup snapshots that already exist rotate out within hours and cannot be read without a key that is not stored with them.

Breach notification

If we discover your data was exposed, we will tell you directly and promptly, with what we know, what we do not, and what to do about it.
